The High Republic is set to come to live-action in the upcoming Star Wars Disney+ original series The Acolyte, which is currently in development at Lucasfilm. The High Republic launched in 2020 as a publishing initiative spanning various Star Wars novels and comic books set about 200 years before the events of prequel films and roughly 800 years after the fall of the Old Republic. Star Wars Eclipse's official website further describes the title as "a new action-adventure, multiple-character branching narrative game set in the High Republic era of the iconic Star Wars galaxy." This sounds true to form for Quantic Dream, a developer known for story-driven games with branching narratives such as Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human. The Eclipse trailer features some very familiar elements as well, however, such as Trade Federation ships and a young(er) Yoda present in the Jedi Council Chamber on Coruscant. As such, the trailer offers a look at a Star Wars universe significantly different than what's been seen in recent films, television shows and even other video games like Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars: Squadrons. High Republic content is set roughly 200 years before the events of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy.
